Lead Solution Architect - Agentic AI Platform (f/m/d)

Competencies: Finding effective solutions; Courage; Drives Vision and Purpose; Ensures Accountability

As one of the leading insurance companies, we know that together we can achieve more. At UNIQA, we are therefore the community for a better life. We use our individual skills to shape a better future together. Tell us about your strengths and apply at UNIQA IT Services GmbH (UITS), the IT service provider of the UNIQA Group, as  Lead Solution Architect - Agentic AI Platform (f/m/d).

Own the end-to-end solution architecture of the Agentic AI Platform and ensure that it is scalable, secure, reusable, operable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Provide technical direction to development and DevOps teams so that platform capabilities are implemented consistently, maintainably, and in line with the agreed target architecture.

What to expect:

  • Define and maintain the target architecture for the Agentic AI Platform across agent runtime, orchestration, tool integration, MCP servers, model access, RAG, memory, guardrails, observability, and developer enablement
  • Translate business and use case requirements into reusable platform capabilities, architecture patterns, and implementation guidance
  • Guide developers on architectural implementation topics such as modular platform design, agent orchestration, MCP patterns, API contracts, RAG architecture, memory design, and framework integration
  • Guide DevOps engineers on platform runtime topics such as deployment architecture, environment design, CI/CD, observability, scalability, resilience, security controls, and operational readiness
  • Review and challenge technical designs, implementation concepts, infrastructure designs, and platform integration patterns
  • Ensure clear separation between shared platform capabilities, reusable frameworks, and use case-specific implementation logic
  • Define architecture standards for agent-to-tool integration, system connectivity, model access, policy enforcement, logging, tracing, auditability, and human-in-the-loop integration
  • Assess technology choices, including open-source AI frameworks, agentic AI frameworks, cloud services, orchestration approaches, and platform runtime components
  • Identify and manage architecture risks, dependencies, technical debt, non-functional requirements, and design trade-offs
  • Maintain architecture documentation, decision records, reference architectures, and implementation guidelines for platform teams and use case teams

What we expect:

  • Strong experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or platform architecture for complex software platforms
  • Good hands-on understanding of software engineering, preferably including Python-based backend development, APIs, distributed systems, and modular platform design
  • Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native deployment, container platforms, observability, and operational readiness
  • Deep understanding of agentic AI concepts, including agent orchestration, tool use, planning, routing, MCP, RAG, memory, evaluation, guardrails, and model access patterns
  • Good knowledge of open-source AI and agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or comparable frameworks
  • Experience with cloud architecture, preferably Azure, including identity, networking, security, monitoring, and scalable runtime design
  • Strong knowledge of API design, event-driven integration, enterprise integration patterns, schema design, and interface contracts
  • Understanding of security, IAM, data protection, auditability, compliance, model access control, policy enforcement, and responsible AI requirements
  • Ability to guide developers and DevOps engineers with technically precise architecture direction while avoiding unnecessary implementation micromanagement
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain architecture decisions, trade-offs, risks, and standards to technical and non-technical stakeholders
