What to expect:
- Design, develop, and test in-house software solutions for projecting cash-flows in Non-Life reserving, collaborating closely with actuaries
- Work with internal DWH solutions and technologies such as SQL / Spark SQL, SAS, Databricks, and internal source systems
- Establish a code versioning system and deployment process
- Support actuaries in data extraction routines, real-time data pipelines, and batch jobs
- Conduct requirements engineering together with actuaries for scheduled projects
- Maintain and enhance software solutions based on evolving business needs
- Identify and implement end-to-end technical solutions independently, ensuring compliance with data protection standards
- Lead technical aspects and collaboration in multiple group projects
- Develop dynamic reports in Power BI, including AI features and advanced visual designs
- Analyze and explore emerging technologies, e.g., cloud services, AI, and automation
- Provide technical trainings and share know-how within the team and across the Group
What we expect:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an IT context
- University degree in a technical or quantitative field (IT, mathematics, statistics, physics, etc.), preferably data science
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in data modeling (SQL), MS Office, Power BI, Git, and at least one programming language (Python or R)
- Knowledge of insurance or financial business is an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with other organizational units, including non-technical colleagues
- Strong team player mentality, with the ability to guide colleagues in technical tasks
- Advanced project management skills
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
