What to expect:
- Analyze new business portfolios in reinsurance under IFRS and Solvency II frameworks
- Support local Actuarial Functions with second line of defense tasks
- Develop and enhance standards and guidelines for Solvency II and IFRS 17 reinsurance across the UNIQA Group
- Calculate and validate technical provisions under local GAAP, Solvency II, and IFRS
- Support claim modeling (attritional, large, CAT claims) for the approved internal model and contribute to its ongoing development
- Assist in the claims reserving process, including reserve risk analysis for (re)insurance
- Support the Group’s Solvency II process, including Technical Provisions, Non-Life Underwriting Risk, and QRTs
- Participate in planning processes and monitor actual vs. expected results
- Manage internal and external communication, including regulators, auditors, management reporting, and cross-departmental coordination
- Lead and collaborate in group-wide projects
- Provide business requirements for DWH/tool developments and automation initiatives
- Share know-how and best practices within the Group and provide training as needed
What we expect:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in claims reserving and/or Solvency II
- University degree in a natural or technical science (mathematics, statistics, IT, physics, etc.), preferably in actuarial science
- Experience and knowledge in Non-Life reserving techniques (both deterministic and stochastic)
- Solid understanding of accounting frameworks (local GAAP, IFRS, Solvency II)
- Experience or knowledge of reinsurance business is an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office; VBA programming is a plus
- Knowledge of at least one programming language is an advantage
- Strong team player mentality with the ability to guide colleagues in reserving tasks
- Advanced project management skills
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
